The Church festival of Hallows Eve and All Saints is not something to run away from as if it really belonged to pagans.
That is not true.
This is a time to celebrate the fact that all those who trust in Jesus will be with Him when they die - "absent from the body, present with the LORD (2 Corinthians 5:8 - see also Philippians 1:23)
Do NOT surrender this glorious holy time to:
nothing but pumpkins and punch -
NOR to the ghosts, goblins and gremlins.
DEFINITELY not to the darkness, demons and devils.
They are powerless compared to the glorious LORD Jesus Christ.
If we are standing with Jesus, then we can resist the devil, and he flees away in helpless fear! (James 4:7)
If we trust in Jesus we need never fear the forces of darkness.
He is the Light of the world. (John 8:12)
The Light shines in the darkness and the darkness is powerless to stop it! (John 1:5)
Instead of creeping around disguised as the dead or devils... let's rejoice in Jesus as the Light of the world - and those who trust in Him will never really die!
John 11:26 - Jesus said "whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
Well... do you?
WITH Jesus death is an entrance gate to Paradise - where we wait with Him till the glorious day of resurrection and renewal.
WITHOUT Jesus death is a terrible and tragic end... sinking down into an underworld of endless death and destruction.
